A dielectric resonator is an electronic component that exhibits resonance
for a narrow range of frequencies, generally in the
microwave band. Resonators are important components in
microwave communication circuits. Resonators are useful in
RF communication equipment in connection with filters, low
noise oscillators, and other circuits.
Ceramic coaxial resonators with high Q
and very good temperature stability are perfectly suitable
for voltage controlled oscillators and bandpass filters and
duplexers.
Smaller resonators can be used at higher frequencies.Larger resonators can provide
greater Q factor.
